A new cabinetry plan gave this recently built home a more cohesive appearance and addressed problems with fit and function. Working from an outside design firm’s plans, Ivy supplied manufacturer-built cabinetry through its Collections offering. Painted micro shaker doors carried the same style and color through the kitchen, primary bathroom, and laundry and mudroom.
Project details
Painted micro shaker doors established a consistent direction for the Rainey home, connecting the kitchen with the primary bathroom and laundry and mudroom. The project began with a request to replace cabinet doors. Reviewing the existing cabinetry revealed issues with attachment, placement, and access that a door replacement alone couldn’t resolve. Ivy’s scope expanded to a complete cabinetry replacement. An outside design firm developed the new kitchen plan, setting the direction for layout, appearance, and function. Ivy supplied cabinetry from its manufacturing partners through the Collections offering to carry out that plan. Full overlay doors and face frame construction formed the cabinetry package. Repeating the door style and color across the rooms brought the selections together while addressing the practical problems that prompted the work.
