Smooth painted cabinetry and dark-stained rift white oak connect the kitchen, scullery, bathrooms, and office in this Bentonville remodel. Working closely with SSC Group, Ivy built and finished the custom work in house. Individually fitted shelves and pillars define the office, with the pillars extending upward and across the ceiling.
Project details
Cabinetry and architectural woodwork formed part of a substantial remodel that took the Cathey home back to the studs. Ivy worked closely with SSC Group and its designers, architects, and engineers to develop the cabinetry requirements and resolve details throughout the project. Built and finished in house, the frameless cabinetry paired smooth painted surfaces with dark-stained rift white oak. An integrated white oak pull became part of the door and drawer fronts. A separate cabinet for the homeowners’ dogs incorporated sliding doors and gold mesh panels. In the office, the woodwork extended beyond the cabinets. Floating shelves and pillars were individually scribed to the walls, with the pillars continuing across the ceiling. Each prefinished component required careful fitting during installation to bring the composition together.
